Super Bowl 52 is in the books, and Doug Pederson called an amazing game against one of the best coaches ever.
Say what you will about the fact that the Eagles were underdogs the entire postseason. Doug Pederson coached the hell out of this season and has finally arrived as a serious candidate for the next biggest name in coaching. Bill Belichick is still the greatest to ever do it, but Pederson went toe-to-toe with a legend and met him at every turn.
Diehards will split hairs, but the argument can very easily be made that Doug Pederson outcoached Bill Belichick, especially late in the game. A gutsy fourth-down call ended up leading to a conversation and the go-ahead touchdown that gave Philadephia its first-ever Super Bowl championship.
Pederson has been the driving force behind the Eagles success this year, from his development of Carson Wentz to the way he seamlessly transitioned to Nick Foles and won a Super Bowl with him.
