Super Bowl 52 halftime show highlights

Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl 52 halftime show was already a hot topic of debate before we even saw it.
There were a number of things that we were all expecting to go wrong at Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl 52 halftime show. Much to the chagrin of his haters, whom he barbed on ‘Filthy’, nothing really went wrong at all.
He kicked things off with that lead single from his dude ranch tribute album and started his performance in what looked like a small club. It turned out he was building to his grand entrance to the field and the stage, which took us on a musical journey
He even went as far as to take the moment to troll #Nipplegate, performing ‘Senorita’ and openly acknowledging the exact moment in the song when he accidentally tore off a piece of Janet Jackson’s clothing.
There was one thing that will remain a sticking point for just about anyone who cares about music. Many feared that Timberlake would use a Prince hologram to honor the late music legend, who hailed from Minnesota. There was no hologram used, but Timberlake went ahead and used a projection of Prince against a backtracking of ‘I Would Die 4 U’, from Purple Rain.
It wasn’t as offensive as the hologram would have been, but it was in just as poor taste.
The performance itself wasn’t that bad from the standpoint of it was technically sound. The stage and his entrance was showy at the very least, but the fact that he bounced around his musical catalog in an ADHD performance didn’t really help this stand out.
