NFL Free Agency 2018: Which Super Bowl players are available?
By John Buhler
Super Bowl LII will be between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. Which players on both teams could be available in free agency?
Every year after the Super Bowl, the other 30 NFL teams covet what they don’t have. While only one team will be able to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, every NFL team wants a piece of the action by being able to land a guy who made it to the biggest game of the year.
This year, the defending Super Bowl champions in the New England Patriots will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII. Kickoff from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will be at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 4. NBC will have the national broadcast.
While New England wins its sixth Super Bowl or Philadelphia its first, somebody will want to poach the championship team’s best available players. These are the players that will be hitting free agency for both the Eagles and the Patriots. Who could be in line for a big pay-day, possibly elsewhere.
Here are the impending free agents for the Patriots.
New England Patriots 2018 free agents

New England could lose a few key players from this year’s AFC Championship team in free agency. Some of their biggest names to hit the open market will be cornerback Malcolm Butler, wide receiver Danny Amendola and special teams ace Matthew Slater. All three could be in line for a bit of coin this spring.
It should be noted that New England could have a completely different running back corps as well. Brandon Bolden, Rex Burkhead and Dion Lewis will be free agents. That leaves Bill Belichick with James White and Mike Gillislee for 2017.
Here are the impending free agents for the Eagles.

Most of Philadelphia’s corps is either young or early into their contracts. The Eagles are in great shape to not just repeat as NFC East champions, but could be the favorite out of the NFC to get back to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta. Keep in mind that the Eagles made it to Super Bowl LII with Nick Foles filling in for the injured Carson Wentz at quarterback.
