With Super Bowl 52 right around the corner, it’s never too early to look ahead a year ahead to Super Bowl 53. Here’s where it will be played in 2019.
We’re less than two weeks away from what’s set to be a fantastic matchup in Super Bowl 52 between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. The game kicks off from Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 4th at U.S. Bank Stadium.
But looking ahead to the 2018 season like 30 of the 32 NFL teams are, where will Super Bowl 53 be played? We’ll have to head down south next season.
Super Bowl 53 will be played in Atlanta, Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The $1.2 stadium debuted this season and is absolutely ginormous. If you think U.S. Bank Stadium is incredible, this takes it up a notch. Everything is top of the line and that’s not an exaggeration. There’s everything from a state-of-the-art retractable roof, to the world’s largest video board and even extremely cheap food prices. With Chick Fil A’s headquarters located in Atlanta, you know the stadium has one. Unfortunately for football fans, it is still closed on Sunday. There aren’t any exceptions.
The stadium will be put to good use, hosting one of the biggest sporting events in the entire world. It will be the third year in a row the Super Bowl will be played indoors. Given the NFL’s track record, they try to pick locations with a warm climate or with an indoor stadium. Rarely is the Super Bowl played outdoors in the winter. That hasn’t happened since Super Bowl 48 at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It’s very much a business tactic and the NFL takes the location into careful consideration.
