Robin Lopez got ejected for the second time this season on Monday night, and had more to say (and throw) after he was given his verdict this time around.

Robin Lopez got ejected in Monday night’s road game against the Kings after feeling he was treated unfairly when he didn’t get a call on one end, and then got whistled for a foul on the defensive end.

Lopez was ejected for receiving two technical fouls, both of which came in the video above. After the ejection, Lopez channeled his inner Bobby Knight and threw a chair while walking down the hallway.

Even though this is Lopez’s second ejection of the season he is well known as one of the guys in the league with a good sense of humor and positive attitude, which is truthfully the only way to tolerate playing for the Bulls this season.

Lopez got the first technical foul for — according to him — voicing his disagreements in a very calm way. “I disagreed with the call. I told him, that’s bad,” Lopez told reporters after the game. Apparently that was enough for the first tech in official Justin Van Dyne’s eyes. The technical, however, set Lopez off his rocker.

He became so furious and started going after Van Dyne so aggressively that multiple teammates needed to hold him back. His ongoing outrage lead to official Rodney Mott issuing the second technical foul. After the ejection it took multiples teammates and coaches efforts to remove him from the court, and then he threw the chair.

Lopez was asked after the game if he thinks the chair is okay, and he said, “I think so. It’s metal.”

Even post-ejection, Lopez’s go with the flow attitude and calming sense of humor were still on full display.
