More from DraftKings

We have four Euro League games on our Thursday. Friday is the loaded slate. Thursday has some stars, but it’s going to be tough to find suitable players in the frontcourt.

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!

Guards:

The clear top option is once again Nick Calathes. Calathes put up 40.25 DraftKings points in the first matchup against Baskonia. He has been over 30 DraftKings points in all but two of the last dozen rounds. Calathes is about as consistent as they come, and is worth the extra money today.

The consolation prizes are Pierre Jackson and Nando de Colo. Neither of them had good games against today’s opponents. There are also three others priced in five figures with Huertel and Erick McCollum having the best matchups. None of them will come close to Calathes’s output though. I expect high ownership on McCollum due to the matchup against Unicaja, who is third worst in the EuroLeague against guards. He also put up 48 DraftKings points last round. However, McCollum only had 8.5 DraftKings points in the first game against Unicaja.

The entire CSKA backcourt is in play today, but Sergio Rodriguez is by far the most consistent. I’m not crazy about Nando, but Cory Higgins at $7,700 is a good option in the middle tier. Higgins has not been below 20 DraftKings points in the last four rounds.

With Nemanja Nedovic out, Ray McCallum is a strong play again today. He has three straight rounds of more than 20 DraftKings points, which gives him a decent floor.

In the value tier, Toney Douglas has a great matchup, but his production is all over the board. He is hard to trust right now, even against a Unicaja team without Nedovic. I would much rather go with the consistency of Matt Lojeski. If you want upside, Pau Ribas is a strong play with a great matchup. Just be aware that Petteri Koponen and Phil Pressey are getting decent run in that backcourt as well.

NEW YORK, NY – DECEMBER 03: Tornike Shengelia #20 of the Brookly(Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)

Forwards:

Once again, Tornike Shengelia is the highest price forward by more than $2,000, but he has a tough matchup against Athens. That said, Shengelia has only been below 20 DraftKings points once in the last ten rounds. He has a nice floor, but the upside is not great today.

Both Will Clyburn and Bryant Dunston have better matchups, but they aren’t nearly as consistent as Shengelia. Tibor Pleiss has a tougher matchup on paper, but he put up 30.5 DraftKings points in the first game against CSKA. No one above him at forward today can top that against today’s opponent.

Kevin Seraphin is still out, which means that Adam Hanga and Ante Tomic are in play. Tomic has been outstanding with Seraphin out, putting up 87 DraftKings points in the last three rounds. I am all over Tomic today!

Zoran Dragic continues to play strong for Efes up front. He has 63.5 DraftKings points in just the last two rounds! With the absence of great matchup highers up the list, Dragic is going to be very highly owned. I’m still not moving off of him.

Adam Waczynski continues to be a solid value play round after round. He could have an even bigger impact today with Jeff Brooks still listed as questionable. If Brooks is out, Waczynski is an even stronger play.

I’m still a fan of Artsiom Parakhouski, but he has a super tough matchup with Barcelona, and his price is high enough that value is tough to come by for Parakhouski today. Johannes Voightmann is a much better option right now. He has six straight games with at least 15 DraftKings points.

If you are needing cheaper, Derrick Brown has put up back to back 20+ DraftKings point rounds. He also has a great matchup against Unicaja. Teammate Brock Motum hasn’t had the bigger games lately, but he was the guy before the emergence of Brown. Efes will likely ride the hot hand, so there is some risk involved here.
