High Value PF

Taj Gibson, MIN at CLE ($6,100): Gibson posted 36.1 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Jan. 8. Have you seen Cleveland’s defense lately? They have been getting drubbed by everyone, including the Magic on Tuesday night. Assemble a team full of Timberwolves if you want, because this one could get ugly. Unless something major happens, Gibson will be around 30 fantasy points on Wednesday. *****

Derrick Favors, UTA at MEM ($5,500): Favors hit value against the Pelicans, posting 25.9 fantasy points in that contest. The Grizzlies are on a back-to-back and rank 15th against the position in their last 15 games. He needs 23.3 fantasy points to reach value on Wednesday. Favors has been a solid bet since Rudy Gobert returned and the Jazz figured out how to utilize both frontcourt players to the best of their ability. Expect another solid game from Favors as he reaches value. ***

Domantas Sabonis, IND at NO ($5,100): Sabonis has missed value in three of his last four. The Pelicans are 28th against power forwards in their last 15 games. If Myles Turner is still nursing his knee, that should increase opportunities for the sophomore forward. He’s struggled in recent games, but this is a good matchup and the circumstances could lead to a solid night. Plus, his salary has dropped to where he’s just waiting to explode and be well over value. ****
