As the NBA Trade Deadline approaches, here are five sort of realistic trades that will help certain teams tank.

Tanking is not a real thing. It’s call Processing. At least, that’s what it should be called. It would be more universally accepted. When people here the word “tanking” they assume that a team is purposely trying to lose in order to secure the best draft pick. If we change the term to “processing” it would give the appearance that a team is trying to win, it’s just taking them awhile.

Think of it like a computer. Your computer doesn’t tank when it takes forever to load your powerpoint presentation. It processes. Eventually, it loads that powerpoint presentation. Well, it loads the presentation or you get so frustrated with the process that you throw your computer against the wall and buy a newer, faster, computer.

Don’t break your computer. Just, trust the process. That presentation is going to load at some point.

There are certain NBA team who don’t need to trust the process, but embrace the process. Realize that, your computer simply isn’t good enough to load that presentation right now. No matter how many times you double-click the presentation, it’s not going to load. You need to quit the application, maybe restart your computer, and then delete all those junk files taking up space. That’s the only way your computer is going to be faster.

These five NBA teams need to do just that. Whether it’s a hard reset of their franchise or getting rid of players who are no longer useful to them. These teams should embrace the process.
