Olympic curling will be one of the most watched events in Pyeongchang. Here’s how you can watch the first session of the mixed doubles round robin online.
Curling is going to be one of the most popular events at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, as it always seems to be. While there may not be dozens of countries competing in the mixed doubles bracket, in fact just eight will be present, it’s still a fun event to take in.
The first curling action takes place on Wednesday night, which is technically Thursday in South Korea. The first session of the mixed doubles — which consists of one male and one female competitor — round-robin tournament will kick things off, in terms of curling.
For the first time, mixed doubles curling will be an Olympic event as it was approved by the committee back in June of 2015. We will get our first taste of it on Wednesday night.
The matchups and NBC streams for the first session of round robin will be:
- United States vs. Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR)
- Canada vs. Norway
- Korea vs. Finland
- China vs. Switzerland
All of the games will be played simultaneously across four sheets during the two hour period. Time will tell how NBC will choose to broadcast the matches, but there are separate live streams for each game.

Canada, Great Britain and Sweden took all the medals from the 2014 Winter Olympics in both men’s and women’s, but since the former is the only remaining medalist in the mixed tournament, expect them to be the favorites.
