Olaijah Griffin, the son of rapper Warren G, made his college football decision on National Signing Day, and had Snoop Dogg in the house for it.
The Regulators mounted up for National Signing Day 2018 for the USC Trojans. Clay Helton and his staff were looking at Mission Viejo product Olaijah Griffin, a talented cornerback ranked in the top 100 of the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. However, much of the nation’s attention was on Griffin due to the celebrity status of his father, rapper Warren G.
As you’d expect, Warren G was indeed present alongside his son for the announcement. However, he wasn’t the only ultra-famous West Coast rapper that was in the building. No, he brought along a friend to help support his son as he made his decision to attend USC.
Snoop Dogg was also in the house for the decision, hanging out and celebrating with the family after he made his announcement. The result was one of the most surreal pictures that you’ll ever see from National Signing Day, which is saying something given the ways that recruits have made their announcements in the past:
Not to let Snoop Dogg steal the spotlight either, Warren G also got in on the festivities. To help show off his son’s decision, he popped a balloon containing red and gold confetti to signify that Olaijah Griffin would be playing for the Trojans:

There’s no question that this announcement ultimately steals the show on National Signing Day. Granted, not many recruits are the son of a famous rap artist. However, when you have Warren G and Snoop Dogg in tow for your event, there’s no way you’re not one of the winners of the day.
