Chip Kelly is finishing off his first recruiting class with the UCLA Bruins. Here’s how they graded out on National Signing Day.

The Chip Kelly era has begun for the UCLA Bruins and there is plenty of excitement surrounding the program. There is a feeling that Kelly will be the one to cultivate the talent necessary to make them a contender in the Pac-12 and compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

He has a proven record in the conference, with his years of success at Oregon and now he begins his next great challenge in college football. He’s also doing a fine job with his first recruiting class and it’s one of the better ones in the conference and country.

Right now, Kelly’s program doesn’t have any five-stars being brought in. However, they have a great deal of four-star recruits that are going to bolster the depth of the program and give the head coach many weapons to work with.

After early National Signing Day, eight players have already signed their letter of intent to play football for the Bruins. Five four-star recruits have already committed and plenty more should be on the way.

Bryan Addison is the most intriguing of the recruits that have signed their letter of intent. At 6’5″, the athlete could be a huge target for the Bruins and a headache for the opposition. Wide receiver Chase Cota is one of the big names that was also brought in on National Signing Day and should be another big target as well.

Kelly is bringing in a lot of skill talent on both sides of the ball with this class and that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. He’s going to get players that create a dynamic offense and this is a great start for him and the program.
