The Rock and Sylvester Stallone are encouraging Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to become an action movie star.

Have you ever been watching a movie and thought to yourself, “this movie could use more Rob Gronkowski?” Well, today is your lucky day, with reports that Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is considering retirement from the NFL to pursue a career in acting.

Gronk is reportedly being wooed to Hollywood by pals Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Sylvester Stallone, who believe that he could make millions starring in action films.

Observing the punishment that Gronk’s body has taken over the years at the tight end position, you can’t blame him for considering hanging up his spikes for good, although this may not be exactly the career change many would expect. He’s no stranger to acting, having 12 IMDB credits to his name, with appearances as himself in Entourage and Family Guy, among others. He already has outstanding range as an actor, capable of playing any role from “Extremely Large Frat Boy” to “Extremely Large Frat Boy.”

Gronk is naturally funny and charismatic, and his appearance with Marshawn Lynch on Conan O’Brien’s “Clueless Gamer” series is undoubtedly one of my favorite YouTube videos of all time.

If Gronk is in fact serious about pursuing the acting bug, I’ve come up with some titles of action movies that may fit him well for a starring role:

Live Gronk or Die Gronk

The Gronk Ultimatum

Gronky Balboa

Mad Gronk: Fury Road

The Gronkinator

There you have it. Some bonafide box office hits that Bill Belichick would give “two sleeves up.”

Next: Why the Patriots will return to Super Bowl 53

Get ready because before you know it, we could see bad guys having their heads Gronk-spiked into the pavement on silver screens across the country!
