More from DraftKings

The Euro League starts early today at 12:45pm eastern. We have a lot of good guards in action once again, but we have some solid forward options as well. Most of the value favorites were yesterday. Let’s see if we can dig up a few for today as well!

The Euro league is a different animal. It is much more halfcourt oriented than the NBA game. The games are also eight minutes shorter. There are 16 teams in the Euro League instead of 30. That means a more shallow player pool to choose from!

Guards:

Alexey Shved is the clear top option once again. This is a good matchup against Zalgiris, and Shved has not been below 32 DraftKings points since Christmas. Luka Doncic put up 48 DraftKings points against Olympiacos in the first meeting, but he has not hit 40 DraftKings points this calendar year. There is some risk involved here. For that reason, it seems that paying up for Shved is the strongest move.

Kevin Pangos has seven rounds with more than 30 DraftKings points, but this is a difficult matchup with Shved. However, Pangos derives most of his value from his passing, no scoring. He is among the Euro League leaders in assists. He isn’t reliant on scoring, so value follows him around. If you are moving off of Shved, Pangos is easily plan B.

The inconsistency of Taylor Rochestie and Brad Wanamaker would have me avoiding the next tier all together. However, I do like Andrew Goudelock as a mid-range guy. Goudelock has been over 20 DraftKings points in four straight rounds and five of the last six. There is no official word on Feldeine’s ankle, but if he is in action, playing him against the worst backcourt defense in Milan could be a great idea.

Dylan Ennis had two huge rounds with Feldeine out, so if Feldeine sits again, Ennis is a must play against Milan. Even if Feldeine is the lineup, the run Ennis had could earn him more playing time. It may be prudent to see how this plays out first, but taking a shot on Ennis could pay off in GPP formats.

Maodo Lo continues to be a favorite value pick of mine and many others. Lo has at 69.75 DraftKings points over the last three games. That’s a great return on a $5,400 investment! If you need to go even cheaper, the only one I would consider is Jaycee Carroll. He has consistently produced off the Real Madrid bench with the extended absence of Sergio Llull.

PHOENIX, AZ – DECEMBER 23: Kostas Papanikolaou #16 of the Denver Nuggets looks to pass under pressure from Ronnie Price #14 and P.J. Tucker #17 of the Phoenix Suns during the second half of the NBA game at Talking Stick Resort Arena on December 23, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Nuggets defeated the Suns 104-96. Forwards:

Jan Vesely has one of the better floors that you will find at forward in the Euro League, but he is not going to put up one of those big games that could put you over the top. Paulius Jankunas has that ability as you can see by the 39.5 he dropped on Khimki in the first matchup. His floor is decent, but unlike Vesely, sometimes the floor falls right out from under Jankunas.

Georgios Printezis continues to be a solid producer. He has a chance to be much more than that today against a Real Madrid team that he put up 34.75 DraftKings points on earlier this season. Teammate Kostas Papanikolaou also had a good game against Real Madrid earlier this year, and he has done better lately.

Arturas Gudaitis has been playing at a high level lately, putting up 80.25 DraftKings points over the last three rounds. Aaron White also remains a strong play in this range as well. He has 114.25 DraftKings points over the last four rounds.

Nemanja Dangubic is a solid value producer, but many in this range will go with Mindaugas Kuzminskas or Jamel McLean. Dangubic is by far the most solid producer. McLean has only played half a game once this calendar year. Kuzminskas has struggled to find his role on a Milan team that needs someone to take over up front. I prefer Dangubic, but the upside is greater elsewhere.

Axel Toupane and Alen Omic are providing great under-the-radar value at a superb price. Most players wont dig this low, but if you plan on rostering both Shved and either Doncic or Pangos, you have to dig this deep.
