2. Any trade by the Wizards

The Wizards in a precarious position right now. There’s been some recent public friction surrounding John Wall’s relationship with the rest of the team and the Wizards are hanging in the middle of the Eastern Conference, just trying to not fall too far down the ladder. Aside from the Cavs, the Wizards may have been the team at the deadline in the biggest need of an injection of something, even if John Wall is out and that matters more than any deal.

But the Wizards did nothing. Sure, an obvious target like Lou Williams was taken off the board early and Washington isn’t exactly loaded with assets other teams would have wanted. But maybe the Wizards should have gotten in on Tyreke Evans. Maybe they could have nabbed Marco Belinelli from the Hawks or maybe Avery Bradley could have been had. When your only deal is shedding salary and a roster spot (which is valuable with the buyout market looking like it could be robust), and you have Wall and Bradley Beal, that’s a problem.
