The 2018 Winter Olympics figure skating competition continues. Here’s what you need to know to watch the women’s short program team figure skating on TV and online.
Team USA sits in second place overall with 14 points heading into Day 2 of the figure skating team event at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Day 2 of the team figure skating events include the ice dance short dance, the pairs free skate and the women’s short program. As it was with the men’s short program, the Team USA figure skater in the women’s short program will be a newcomer to the Olympics games.
2018 National Champion skater Bradie Tennell will make her Olympics debut in the women’s team short program. The 20-year-old will take the ice in hopes of keeping the United States in medal contention in the team figure skating event. Tennell shot to stardom in the figure skating world with her impressive routine at Nationals in January 2018, earning a first place finish and putting her at the top of the Team USA women’s figure skating team. Despite being an Olympics rookie, Tennell is considered a gold medal contender in the individual competition.
Husband and wife duo Chris Knierim and Alexa Scimeca Knierim will skate in the pairs free skate while the “Shib Sibs,” Maia and Alex Shubutani, will make their Olympics debut in the ice dance short dance program.
