Here’s how you can watch the men’s 5000m speedskating final at the Olympics online and by live stream.

Brace yourself speedskating fans, you’re not going to like what we’re about to tell you. Yes, you can live stream the Winter Olympics men’s 5000-meter speedskating final, but it happens at 2 a.m. ET. Yep, the afternoon race in Korea airs in the wee hours of the morning stateside. But if you’re willing and able to stay up or wake up for it, NBC has the live stream you need to watch online.

NBC is the exclusive broadcaster of the Winter Olympics, and the games will air across its network of channels — NBC, NBCSN, USA, CNBC — as well as online. If you’ve cut the cord and no longer have a cable subscription that would allow you to log in to NBC’s live stream, you can turn to exclusively streaming options like FuboTV.

The men’s 5000-meter is the second longest race in men’s speedskating. The men’s competition also includes 1500-meter, 1000-meter and 500-meter races on the shorter end, and a 10,000-meter race.

Unsurprisingly, the Dutch are expected to do well in the 5000-meter. Sven Kramer of the Netherlands is the favorite for the gold medal for 5000-meter, as well as the 10,000-meter. Silver medal favorite Ted-Jan Bloemen competes for Canada, but is a Dutch native as well. Must be something in the dam.

Emery Lehman will compete for the U.S. after a change in quota allocation. The U.S. initially did not have room on the roster to send a skater for the men’s 5000-meter, but in late January, the International Skating Union announced that because the Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR) team will only feature four speed skaters, opening up a spot for the U.S. to send Lehman.
