The Olympics are barreling along and mixed doubles for curling has reached the semifinal stage. One match will pit Russia against Switzerland.

The sheer volume of events and coverage in the 2018 Winter Olympics is staggering. Due to the amount of events that fans are interested in and the fact that they’re happening on the other side of the planet, many events must be found online to stream. The mixed doubles semifinal for curling is no different.

Russia features Anastasia Bryzgalova and Aleksandr Krushelnitckii and they will be taking on a Switzerland team featuring Jenny Perret and Martin Rios. Curling fans may need to set those alarms early as the event happens at 6:05 Eastern Standard time. Streaming this even will take a little bit more of an effort than an event like the Super Bowl. Since NBC has exclusive rights to all Olympic events, they call all the shots as far as how to stream. When they streamed the Super Bowl, it was free for anyone that wanted to watch. It will potentially cost a little bit of money this time around.

Fans can get around paying now if they’re willing to use a free trial of a streaming service like SlingTV, Hulu, or YouTube TV. Just be sure to cancel within the trial period if you’re dead set on not paying for the service. The biggest key is to make sure whatever platform is compatible with the NBC Sports app. If you already have a cable service, it’s very easy to go to nbcolympics.com and put in your cable package information. The entire Olympic Games is open to you after that point.

Despite NBC having exclusivity with the Olympics, it’s fairly easy to see whichever event you choose. Curling is quite different than almost any other sport going in these Games with elements of a bunch of different sports rolled into one. It’s also a pretty fun watch once you get into it and this match means the world to Russia and Switzerland. The winner moves on to the finals and a shot at Olympic glory.
