The Olympic curling mixed doubles bronze medal match airs Monday night. Here’s how you can watch online.
Well, seven rounds of round robin, a tie-breaker and two semifinals later, it’s time for the mixed doubles curling medal matches. The proceedings start with the bronze medal match Monday evening in America, 6 p.m. ET, between Norway and Olympic Athletes of Russia. Norway lost their semifinal to Canada and OAR lost to Switzerland, both on Sunday.
The bronze medal match will air live via live stream through the NBC Olympics hub. NBC will also air the match during their 5 p.m. ET television evening broadcast, along with hockey and “more.”
Norway performed well throughout the round robin tournament, however, did not notch a win against OAR. (They did beat both gold medal contenders: they were Canada’s only loss in the tournament and defeated Switzerland in session 4.)
Russia lost to Canada and Switzerland, but did beat their bronze medal match opponents, Norway. OAR has been on something of a losing streak, losing the last three matches to Switzerland (semifinal), Switzerland (session 7) and Canada (session 6). (Norway’s last three games have been similarly hard to gauge: a loss to Canada in the semifinal, a win against China in the tie-breaker, a loss to China in session 7 and a loss to USA in session 6.)

The match between OAR and Norway in the second session was incredibly even. Both teams alternated single-point scores and played the full eight ends, ending in a 4-3 score.
All of which is to say, we should be in for a very even and excellent bronze medal match.
