Live stream the mixed doubles curling gold medal match between Canada and Switzerland early Tuesday morning.
Set your alarms, curling fans, because this gold medal match is going to be worth it. Canada (undefeated except for a first round loss to Norway) and Switzerland (undefeated except for losses to Canada and also Norway) is likely to be an all-timer. NBC will stream the event live at 6 a.m. ET.
Switzerland was a favorite for the gold medal, having won the world championship in 2017, and Canada was rather shockingly not expected to place. (That said, mixed doubles is a very new event. Brand new on the Olympic stage, but also only a few years old in global competition of any kind.)
Admittedly, the last Canada-Switzerland match was a bit of a blowout. The Canadian duo of Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris beat the Swiss Jenny Perret and Martin Rios, 7-2, with Switzerland conceding the last two ends, per the Spirit of Curling.
Norway and Russia will face off for the bronze medal match at 7:05 p.m. ET on Monday evening.

Mixed doubles has been a huge success in its first Olympics. While the inaugural competition was a bit overshadowed and underpromoted in the first weekend of the games, the sport’s design as a faster-paced, high character, scoring bonanza has done well to endear curious spectators to the game. Here’s hoping mixed doubles curling’s Olympic debut ends on a high note.
