Olympics Women’s luge runs 1 and 2 results

Here are all the results from the first two runs of the women’s luge at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The first two runs of the women’s luge at the 2018 Winter Olympics are in the books and Germany is poised for a clean sweep on the podium. Germans Natalie Geisenberger and Dajana Eitberger site in first and second place respectively with Tatjana Hüfner lingering in fourth.

Canada’s Alex Gough sits in third, threatening the German trio.

America’s best bet at a medal is Erin Hamlin, who also served as the flag bearer for Team USA at the opening ceremony. Summer Britcher could win a medal, sitting in ninth +0.507 out of first place. Britcher actually set a course record on her second run.

All three Americans are in the top half of the group, but Emily Sweeney is more than a second out of first place.

The winner will be determined after two more runs on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 a.m. ET.
