The Men’s 12.5km pursuit will be the second biathlon event on Monday in the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. Here is how to watch it online via live streaming.

Monday, Feb. 12 will be a full slate of action in the Olympic Biathlon in the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. This will be the first day of the 2018 Winter Olympics were both the men and the women compete for medals on the same day. Monday is all about the pursuit.

The Women’s 10km pursuit will have already happened by the time the men get to the Alpensia Biathlon Centre in Pyeongchang, South Korea. However, could this be the time the United States takes home a medal in the biathlon?

The Men’s 12.5km pursuit will begin at 7:00 a.m. ET, 9:00 p.m. KT at the Alpensia Biathlon Centre, right after the women complete the 10km pursuit. The available live streams for this event can be found on NBCOlympics.com and on FuboTV.

While the Women’s 10km pursuit will be aired live at 5:10 a.m. ET in the United States in conjunction with the women’s luge, we will have to wait a few hours to catch the men in the pursuit on tape delay. The Men’s 12.5km pursuit will be aired in its entirety from 12:15 p.m. ET to 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN on Monday afternoon stateside.

Perhaps the United States’ best chance is the elder statesmen of USA Biathlon in the 36-year-old Lowell Bailey. The closest the United States have come to winning a medal in the biathlon came in the 2014 Sochi Games, where Bailey finished eighth. Had he not missed one target, America would have finished top-three in the best Winter Olympic sport you haven’t heard enough about yet.

The pursuit is the second shortest of the four individual biathlon competitions at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. Because it doesn’t feel as hurried as the sprint, which is 2.5 kilometers shorter than the pursuit, perhaps this could favor the United States, as they will take their time in the shooting part of the event?

Well, let’s hope so because it’s getting really old that the United States can’t medal in this Winter Olympic sport. Cross-country skiing and rifle shooting should be a combination all the United States should fully be behind. Be sure to tune in to NBCSN at 12:15 p.m. ET to catch the replay of the Men’s 12.5km pursuit on Monday afternoon.
