Olympics women’s hockey, Canada vs. Finland live stream: Watch online
Early on Tuesday, Canada and Finland face each other in Olympics women’s hockey. Here’s how you can watch the early morning match via live stream.
Group A of Olympics women’s hockey is going about as well as expected. Canada and United States are both dominating, proving to be the two best teams at the 2018 Winter Olympics thus far. The former will be vying for an advantage going into their showdown later this week against America. Canada will face Finland, who are coming off a loss to Team USA, on Tuesday starting at 2:40 a.m. ET.
Canada is attempting to win yet another gold medal. They have won the past four gold medals in women’s hockey (2002, 2006, 2010, 2014). The lone Olympics Canada didn’t win gold in (1998), they got silver in. They’re coming off an impressive 5-0 win over the Olympic Athletes from Russia.
During this win, Canada got two goals from Rebecca Johnston and Melodie Daoust. Marie-Philip Poulin picked up three assists as well. Goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens was perfect in net, not allowing a single goal to the Russians.
Meanwhile, Finland’s coming off a tough 3-1 loss to Team USA. They got a late first-period goal against them, but weren’t able to muster anything else on offense. Goaltender Noora Räty did very well keeping them in the game, stopping all but two of the shots she saw. She finished the game against Team USA with a .951 save percentage.
