The Olympic men’s curling tournament begins Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. ET. Here’s how you can watch online.
With the inaugural Olympic mixed doubles tournament officially in the books — congratulations to gold medalist Canada, silver medalist Switzerland and bronze medalist Olympic Athletes from Russia — the curling proceedings are moving swiftly along. On the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 14 in Pyeongchang and the evening of Thursday, Feb. 13 in America, the men’s round robin tournament gets underway.
Ten countries will compete in the men’s tournament: Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Italy, Korea, United States, Switzerland and Great Britain. Canada, no surprise, is the favorite for the gold medal, with Sweden and Team USA expected to jostle for silver and bronze. Every team plays their nine competitors once in the round robin. Because the ice arena has four sheets — allowing for just four games a session — this will take place over the course of 12 sessions. At that point, the top four teams will enter the semifinals and a tie-breaker match will be played if necessary.
NBC will broadcast the games on whatever schedule they deem fit — their TV listings have already established themselves as wildly incongruous. However, the network will provide live streams to each and every game through the NBC Olympics portal.
