The Suns are so bad that Warriors coach Steve Kerr took a few plays off and let his players coach themselves.

The Phoenix Suns are bad, and they’re looking at a lottery pick this summer that much is certain. Amazingly enough, Devin Booker is legitimately the difference between just a bad team and a completely unwatchable team.

Nonetheless, they are bad, and Steve Kerr took this as a chance to hold his players accountable. So what idea did he come up with? He decided to let his players coach the timeout huddles on Monday night against the Suns.

Obviously, Kerr is still coaching in-game, but when a timeout is called it’s all on the players to make the necessary adjustments. Let’s be honest here for a second the Warriors are the elite of the NBA, and they know what it takes to win.

Andre Iguodala is, in fact, playing in Monday’s game so perhaps they’re just taking turns about who leads the huddle during any given timeout. This is a bold move for Kerr because knowing how good this team is they may not take this seriously (I highly doubt that being the case).

On the flip side, he could get his point across, and the players take this a chance to hold everyone accountable. You know what they say; sometimes it takes a teammate to get the message across.

Most likely no one is going to say this, but this is borderline one of the most disrespectful things you can do to another team. Imagine if you’re the Suns, and you look over in the other huddle and you just see Kerr drinking a Gatorade while Steph Curry is drawing up plays for himself and his teammates to torch you until the next timeout.

It’s like back in high school when you’re playing the worst team in the league, and you don’t even take them seriously. Just like those high school games the Warriors most likely will walk away with a victory.
