The curling tournament can be daunting for fans that have never watched but Norway vs. Canada is a great match to start watching the sport.
Strap on a gripper and a slider for those curling shoes and set your alarms early(as in the match starts at 5:00 a.m. on the USA Network) and get ready to watch Team Norway take on Team Canada in round-robin play in men’s curling. The 10 teams in the tournament all play each other once and the top four teams in the standings at the end move on to the semi-final portion to play for medals. Both Canada and Norway will be looking to get closer to that point Thursday morning.
Canada boasts Kevin Koe, Marc Kennedy, Brent Laing, Ben Herbert, and Scott Pfeifer. Meanwhile, Norway will counter with Thomas Ulsrud, Torger Nergaard, Christoffer Svae, Haavard Vad Petersson, and Makus Hoeiberg. Norway had a bye during the first run of the competition as every team will sit out some days so they will be looking for their first victory. Canada downed Italy by the score of 5-3 and will look to capture their second victory.
If you’re streaming online, there are a multitude of options for you. NBC has the rights to all Olympic games and it does require some type of cable services like DirecTV or Sling TV. Fans can use the free trial options if they don’t want to pay but the NBC Sports app does require some type of cable credentials to use. If you’re unsure of if you’re willing to pay, the app does offer a 30-minute trial before they ask for said credentials. It’s easy to navigate and is likely the best option for Olympic fans.
