There’s no question that Marvel has another hit on their hands, but not everyone makes it out of Black Panther alive — so, who doesn’t make it?

SPOILER WARNING: If you want to avoid major, major spoilers, your best bet is to turn right around because this will post will say who dies in Black Panther.

One of the most interesting developments recently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the increasingly serious nature of the films. With Infinity War on the horizon, it almost give a sense of foreboding about what’s to come for the Avengers and our favorite heroes. And a way that the MCU has been doing this leading up to Black Panthers has simply been by having characters die.

Admittedly, we haven’t seen any of the “big-name” Marvel superheroes kick the bucket just yet. However, we have seen plenty of bad things happen to the more minor and supporting characters in the film. Again, this could all be to prepare us for bad things to come once Thanos officially makes his way to earth.

However, this turn in the MCU begs the question about its latest release: Who dies in Black Panther?

If you were hoping that everyone in the film was going to make it out alive, your hopes will be dashed there are indeed some deaths in the film. Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) is one of the early victims of Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), the film’s villain. Meanwhile, Killmonger claims another life later in the film.

Zuri (Forest Whittaker) has his life taken by Killmonger as the latter is challenging T’Challa for the Wakandan throne in the film. However, the villain of the film doesn’t get away with all of this and make it out alive — though the reason why is a bit of a shock to movie-goers.

Killmonger is offered the chance to be healed after having been mortally wounded by Black Panther. However, he refuses to do so, choosing to end his own life as opposed to being a prisoner for the rest of his days. Talk about a tragic and villainous ending to that tale.

So, there you have it. Black Panther indeed features several deaths and some with a bit of significance. Even still, it all feels like a precursor to perhaps much bigger deaths lying ahead in the MCU.
