Men’s hockey continues at the 2018 Winter Olympics with Canada vs Czech Republic. Here’s what you need to know to watch Canada vs Czech Republic on TV and online.
Hockey at the 2018 Winter Olympics continues with some Group A action between Canada and the Czech Republic on Friday, February 16.
Canada is coming off a decisive 5-1 victory over Switzerland on Thursday morning. Canada scored twice in both the first and second periods and once in the third, holding the Swiss to one goal late in the third.
Canada had 28 shots on goal compared to Switzerland’s 29 and only 1:32 in power play time compared to Switzerland’s 3:26, and yet Canada absolutely dominated this game from the start. Canada looks to continue their dominance against the Czech Republic by scoring early in the game and protecting the lead.
The Czech Republic claimed victory over South Korea with the two first-period goals. South Korea scored once in the first period to open the game, but couldn’t hold on. The Czech Republic came out strong with 40 shots on goal, setting a tone for the rest of the contest.
The advantage is going to Canada in this matchup because the Czech Republic wasn’t truly tested in their game against South Korea. Canada has a much more aggressive style of play that will put the Czech Republic on the defensive from the start.
