Here’s how you can watch the Olympics men’s hockey round robin game between USA and Olympic Athletes of Russia online and by live stream.
Do you believe in miracles? You’re going to have to if you think Team USA can beat Olympic Athletes of Russia in men’s hockey. Both teams suffered shock losses in their first game of the tournament, and have since bounced back. But while USA barely squeaked by Slovakia 2-1, Russia blew Slovenia away 8-2, with Kirill Kaprizov and Ilya Kovalchuk contributing to five of those goals.
Since there are no NHL players in these Olympics, everyone has compared USA’s hockey squad to the 1980 Miracle on Ice team. While it feels unfair, since that team won gold, the parallels are there. They’re made up predominantly of college players — their hero against Slovakia, Ryan Donato, plays for Harvard. And they have to beat a Russia team that’s considered overwhelming favorites.
You could argue there’s too much pressure on USA because of the Miracle on Ice comparisons, but if they beat Russia, they can live up to it and add another chapter to this glorious rivalry.
NBC has exclusive rights to broadcast the 2018 Winter Olympics, which will go out across all of its television, mobile and digital platforms. For those who have already cut the proverbial cord, you can live stream the games, including the men’s hockey tournament.
The game will take place at 9:10 p.m. local time, which is 7:10 a.m. ET. That will require an early wake-up for East Coasters and a potential all-nighter for West Coasters to catch this game. But the last time these two teams played in the Olympics in this time slot, T.J. Oshie scored four times in the shootout, so it’s worth setting your alarm for.
