The Rising Stars challenge features a respective U.S. team and World team based on the player’s origin which adds to post-game bragging rights. The roster for the World team includes: Joel Embiid [76ers], Ben Simmons [76ers], Dario Saric [76ers], Lauri Markkanen [Bulls], Jamal Murray [Nuggets], Domantas Sabonis [Pacers], Buddy Hield [Kings], Bogdan Bogdanovic [Kings], Dillon Brooks [Grizzlies], and Frank Ntilikina [Knicks].
The 20 players that make up each Rising Stars roster are selected by the league’s assistant coaches. 2018 marks the fourth consecutive year in which a U.S. team faces a World team. The 76ers’ Joel Embiid leads both rosters in terms of points per game with a current average of 23.8 ppg.
