The Hulk returns in Avengers: No Surrender, and it looks like he might not be in the best of moods — though when is he ever, really?

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have already had it pretty rough in Avengers: No Surrender, what with the Earth being stolen and all. If that wasn’t bad enough, they’re about to have another big, green problem on their hands, and it goes by the name of the Hulk.

Sure, Hulk was a founding member of the Avengers, but considering that the last time we saw him, Hawkeye was putting an arrow in Bruce Banner to make sure he wasn’t around any more, it’s a little understandable that he might be holding some grudges.

In the new Avengers: No Surrender teaser trailer you can see below, there’s at least some hint that the Hulk’s motives might be up in the air. Here’s what Marvel says we can expect in Avengers #684:

"The iconic goliath officially returns in all his green glory starting with AVENGERS #684, on sale this March – and it’s not your typical Hulk return, either! This Bruce Banner, unprovoked and unchecked, will take you on a frightening adventure as he battles to save the universe."

The Avengers could definitely use the Hulk on their side if possible, given the odds they’re facing in this weekly story so far. On the other hand, No Surrender has also been called the final story of the current era of the team, so it’s fitting to have him around no matter what role he ends up playing.

Avengers #684 goes on sale this March at comic shops and wherever new comics are sold, and you might want to pick up a copy just to make sure you don’t get on Banner’s bad side. Because that can’t end well.
