The men’s figure skating event concluded with the men’s free skate at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Here are the final medal standings in men’s figure skating.
What a men’s figure skating competition it has been. From Yuzuru Hanyu’s dominance to Nathan Chen’s inspiring come from behind rally, it was a fun competition to watch, and in the end, it came down to the final handful of skaters to determine the overall winner.
Team USA’s Nathan Chen stumbled in the short program, earning an 82.22 in the short program. He needed a miracle to be in medal contention, but after landing six quad jumps in his free skate, he ended up with a 215.08, which gave him an overall total of 297.35.
He and fellow Team USA teammate Vincent Zhou (276.69) spent most of the free skate in the leader’s box until the very end when both men were knocked out of medal contention.
