Here’s how you can watch the Olympics men’s hockey round robin game between Canada and South Korea online and by live stream.
Even though Canada proved, in its first game, that it should be considered one of the favorites in Olympics men’s hockey, a loss to Czech Republic proved how big of a factor not having NHL players can be. In a result that mirrored 1998, Canada fell short to the Czech Republic in a shootout. It outshot its opponent 33-21, but its offense couldn’t put the game away when required.
Canada has overcome shaky results in the last two Olympics, though, to win Gold. And in South Korea, it has a chance to bounce back and finish the group stage strong. While the Canadians shouldn’t underestimate the upset potential of playing against the host nation, South Korea did just come off an 8-0 loss to Switzerland — a team that Canada has already beaten 5-1.
Considering that it’s no longer leading their group, winning this game will be paramount if Canada wants to secure a bye to the quarterfinals.
NBC has exclusive rights to broadcast the 2018 Winter Olympics, which will go out across all of its television, mobile and digital platforms. For those who have already cut the proverbial cord, you can live stream the games, including the men’s hockey tournament.
The game will take place at 9:10 p.m. local time, which is 7:10 a.m. ET. Although you’d expect the crowd to heavily favor South Korea, the Canadian contingent has traveled well throughout these Olympics and will be out in full volume.
