Juventus will travel to the Olimpico di Torino on Sunday for the second edition of this season’s Serie A Turin derby. The Old Lady won the first match between these two teams in Serie A play this season 4-0 and dominated from start to finish.
An early goal from Paulo Dybala was quickly followed up by a Daniele Baselli red card which doomed the visitors. Miralem Pjanic and Alex Sandro managed to find the back of the net, and Dybala put the nail in the coffin for his second goal of the match in stoppage time.
Torino are experiencing a decent Serie A season and currently find themselves in ninth place in the league. Spanish forward Iago Falque has been in inspired form for the club, netting nine goals and also racking up five assists to lay his claim as the star of the team. Adem Ljajic and Andrea Belotti have helped the Spaniard in attack, while Cameroonian center back Nicolas Nkoulou has held down the defense.
Juve are still one point off of league leaders Napoli, and desperate to win every match to pip Napoli to the title and win their sixth straight Scudetto. The club is coming off of a disappointing 2-2 midweek Champions League draw with Tottenham at home, so they will be looking to takeout their frustrations in this intense derby match.
