By John Buhler
The Men’s 15km Mass Start of the Olympic Biathlon will be on display Sunday evening in Pyeongchang. Here is how to watch the race online via live streaming.
We have made it to the final individual event in the biathlon at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. After seeing the women compete in the 12.5km mass start on Saturday evening, the men will now take their turn in the 15km mass start on Sunday evening. This is the eighth of 11 events in the Olympic Biathlon. The last three left are relay events.
The men’s 15km mass start will begin at the Alpensia Biathlon Centre in Pyeongchang at 6:15 a.m. ET, 8:15 p.m. KT on Feb. 18. If you want to catch it live on an available live stream, be sure to use either NBCOlympics.com or FuboTV.
While the men’s 15km mass start will not be broadcasted live on television in the United States, it will be shown on NBC during the middle of the afternoon on Sunday. Coverage on NBC of the men’s 15km mass start will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET and will go through 6:00 p.m. ET. It will be shown in conjunction with men’s team pursuit in speed skating and the freestyle skiing men’s aerials finals.
Date: Sunday, Feb. 18
Time: 6:15 a.m. ET, 8:15 p.m. KT
Location: Pyeongchang, South Korea
Venue: Alpensia Biathlon Centre
TV Info: NBC (3:00 p.m. ET)
Live Stream: NBCOlympics.com, FuboTV
So far the men have had a different racer win gold in the biathlon. Germany’s Arnd Peiffer won the men’s 10km sprint. France’s Martin Fourcade took home the gold in the men’s 12.5km pursuit. Norway’s Johannes Thingnes Boe earned his first Olympic medal in the men’s 20km individual.
Fourcade looks to be the favorite to take home gold in the men’s 15km mass start. This will be one of the last chances the United States has at medalling in the biathlon. While Tim Burke has finished inside the top-25 in Pyeongchang, it is not looking good for America to bring home its first Olympic medal in the biathlon this February.
Be sure to tune in at 3:00 p.m. ET to see the replay of the men’s 15km mass start on NBC on Sunday afternoon. If you can get up early, the live streams will be ready to go at 6:15 a.m. ET back in the United States.
