Germany has three teams threatening to medal in the two-man bobsled at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang

Germany dominated the luge at the 2018 Winter Olympics and they’ve started off dominant in the bobsled as well. The first two runs of the two-man bobsled are in the books and Germany has a team sitting in first, third and fifth, threatening to sweep the podium.

The fact the German team of Nico Walther and Christian Poser’s won first despite rolling their sled over. Coming out of the final turn, the sled was going so fast it rolled over and slid down the final straight on it’s site.

Walther jumped out of the sled and celebarated after officials checked on him, and they’re in a position to medal.

The United States didn’t do well in the first two runs. The team piloted by Justin Olsen sits in 12th place, less than a second out of from the leaders. It isn’t unrealistic to think they could end up on the podium, but it is highly unlikely.
