The round robin portion of the Olympics is getting close to an end and the United States is fighting to advance when they take on Switzerland.
Things in the curling tournament haven’t gone very well for the United States to this point. They sit near the bottom of the standings. They will need to turn things around in a hurry to have any shot at advancing into the semi-finals, as only four teams advance to that stage. The problem is they have to take on Switzerland, who is sitting near the top of the standings and have been one of the better teams in the tournament.
If there’s a positive to take for the United States, they aren’t very far behind forging a tie with multiple other teams and could force tie-breaking matches. Curling is an unpredictable sport and anything can happen in any given match. Skip John Shuster still has time to rally his teammates and get into a spot where they can potentially play for a medal. Time is running out and Switzerland will not be a pushover with skip Benoit Schwarz.
Due to the number of events that the Olympics has to offer, there is only one way to see every throw from this match. Fans can stream it online, though those alarms will have to be set pretty early Monday morning. NBC isn’t guaranteed to show certain matches even when curling is scheduled to be covered.
