Ranking and analyzing all 30 NBA City edition uniforms
29. San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio are an example of a team that does not need four uniforms. The multiple-alternate concept adds intrigue and much-needed change during a long 82-game season, but for a classic team like the Spurs, Nike would be better off letting them stick to their perfectly fine home and away set complemented by beautiful gray Statement alts. Unless they feel the need for a throwback, do not force a fourth jersey.
Here, they forced a fourth jersey.
This camo set is somehow better than previous editions, but it remains uninspired and hard to look at. It strikes the observer as hastily assembled and not at all creative, even if it is meant for a good cause.
Especially for such a storied team, this doesn’t make sense. It’s clumsy, gimmicky and decidedly un-Spurs-like.
