Derek Brunson is leaving no stone unturned in his hunt for Michael Bisping and has now shared a signed contract he claims is to fight the former champ.

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has hinted at a potential retirement fight, leaving fans to wonder who he’ll face in for his last hurrah.

It seems like we might have the answer if Derek Brunson gets his way. Brunson posted a photo on his official Twitter account on Tuesday of what he alludes to be a signed contract to fight the former champion. It should be noted that the opponent’s name, date and event is blacked out, so we can’t be sure he is sharing a real contract.

“You’re no easy fight,” Brunson wrote. “Obviously you’re ranked ahead of me… it only makes sense for a #6, being you, and #7, being me, to fight.”

This is the second time this week that Brunson has called out Bisping, with no avail.

Both Brunson and Bisping are coming off of knockout losses. Bisping was defeated by Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 122 – Bisping vs. Gastelum. He had stepped up to save the card last-minute after Anderson Silva was unable to fight. Brunson was defeated by Ronaldo Souza who KO’d Brunson in the first round at UFC on FOX 27.

Though on paper this match-up does seem reasonable, it’s likely that Bisping was hoping for a more high-profile fight for his last match-up. Someone like Luke Rockhold whom he defeated to become the middleweight champion at UFC 199.

“You aren’t going anywhere, neither am I,” Brunson wrote.

Bisping has been vocal about waiting for a good fight, with the right money before accepting what could potentially be his retirement bout.

Bisping has yet to respond to Brunson’s call-outs.
