James Bond news weekly roundup: February 19
By David Pegram
This past week’s James Bond news begins with Christopher Nolan’s dismissal of any idea that he is directing Bond 25. But that was not the only news. Let’s take a look back at the week that was in the world of James Bond, with an “eye on” next week.
James Bond News & Headlines
James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, handed out the award for Best Picture at the 2018 BAFTAs. However, it was Craig’s (pudgy) appearance that caused a reaction across the internet and Twitter. Had Craig been using Botox? Regardless, we’re about ten months away from principal photography on Bond 25. It’s still too early to be concerned about Craig’s appearance.
Speaking of Craig, he has put his 2014 Aston Martin up for auction. Meanwhile, Spectre co-star Monica Bellucci praised Craig, describing him “polite” and “shy.”

Craig’s wife, Rachel Weisz, provided her two cents on the “Female Bond” considerations, saying, “Women should get their own stories.” Weisz explained that Bond author Ian Fleming “devoted an awful lot of time to writing this particular character, who is particularly male and relates in a particular way to women.”
