Here’s how you can watch the Olympic men’s 5,000-meter short track speedskating relay online or by live stream.
Short track is South Korea’s sport and the men’s 5,000-meter short track relay is no different. The hosts are expected to win gold in the relay event, with Canada and the Netherlands going 2-3 with silver and bronze. (The Netherlands, however, did not qualify — this isn’t long-track speedskating after all — so it’s anyone’s game for bronze.) You can watch the whole thing go down in real time, early Thursday morning, by NBC live stream.
As with all short track finals, there are four teams in Final B and four teams in Final A. The Final B is expected to start at 8:52 p.m. Korea Time, which is 6:52 a.m. ET. Final A, which will determine the medals, will start at 7 a.m. ET.
Team USA will appear in Final B, along with Japan and Kazakhstan, which is a bit of a coup considering the USA has been having a not-great Olympics in short track and speedskating. Final A will feature Korea, Hungary, China and Canada.

NBC will stream the event online through the NBC Olympics hub. The 5,000-meter relay will be the last in three Thursday morning short track events, starting with the men’s 500-meter at 5:13 a.m. followed by the women’s 1000-meter at 6:26 a.m. ET. All three events are medal events. Symbolic stuffed tigers are awarded after the races, with medals presented in a separate ceremony.
