Olympic curling is rolling along with the 12th round of the women’s tournament on Thursday morning stateside between USA and Sweden.

Don’t look now, but Team USA’s women’s Olympic curling team is in a good position to make a run at its first-ever medal. Since the sport’s induction in the Winter Olympics back in 1998, no American women’s curling team has ever medaled, but that could all change in 2018.

Surprisingly, the United States holds a half-game lead over Canada heading into Monday night and the Americans are just 1.5 games back of first-place Korea. Sweden sits just one spot ahead of the Americans so a win in the 12th round of the round robin tournament would be a major boost for their medal hopes.

A medal is within reach for Team USA and they have to be proud to just be in the running at this point in the game.

We are in the final week of curling as the 2018 Winter Olympics are coming to a close and this will be one of the last times you’ll get to witness the women’s team live in action. Can they pull off an upset against the Swedish team?

All of the Olympic curling matches in the second session take place simultaneously, and it will be up to NBC’s editors to decide how much of each match is shown. That said, cord-cutters have the advantage as every game has its own unique live stream.
