The Mixed Relay of the Olympic Biathlon will take place on Tuesday evening in Pyeongchang. Here is how to watch this event online via live streaming.
We have made it through the individual events of the Olympic Biathlon at Pyeongchang. While Team USA was unable to capture a medal in the eight solo events, there are three more opportunities for a medal in the relay portion of this Winter Olympic sport.
On Tuesday evening at the Alpensia Biathlon Center in Pyeongchang, the mixed relay will be in full effect. It will begin at 6:15 a.m. ET, 8:15 p.m. KT. The available live streams can be found on NBCOlympics.com and on FuboTV.
While it will not be broadcasted live on television in the United States, it will be shown on tape delay in its entirety only a few hours later. NBCSN will begin broadcasting the mixed relay of the Olympic Biathlon at 10:30 a.m. ET and will run through to 12:00 p.m. ET.
Date: Tuesday, Feb. 20
Time: 6:15 a.m. ET, 8:15 p.m. ET
Location: Pyeongchang, South Korea
Venue: Alpensia Biathlon Centre
TV Info: NBCSN (10:30 a.m. ET)
Live Stream: NBCOlympics.com, FuboTV
So the way that this event sets up is it will be a four-person relay, two men and two women. The men will be traveling 7.5 kilometers, while the women will be traveling 6.0 kilometers in this relay. Though it has not been a Winter Olympics to remember for Team USA biathlon, one could argue that the relay is America’s best opportunity to earn its first medal ever in this Olympic sport.
Two of the four competitors that will be representing the United States in the mixed relay are Lowell Bailey and Susan Dunklee. Both have had success in individual biathlon events before, so combining forces for the sake of America could be exactly what the United States needs to earn its first medal in the biathlon.
It will be tough sledding, but it would be incredible if America can take home at least a bronze in this winter sport. If you can get up super early, definitely use one of the available live streams to see the mixed really. Should you need your sleep, feel free to catch the replay on NBCSN only a few hours later.
