The Philadelphia 76ers are trusting the process, and it’s paying off in big ways. Here’s how to watch them take on the Chicago Bulls.

The Philadelphia 76ers (30-25) have been strong all season — after putting their fans through seasons of misery, the process is finally starting to pay off. Led by the growing star power of Joel Embiid and super-rookie Ben Simmons, the Sixers are sitting in the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Who would have imagined that the Sixers would have come together this fast?

It’s a process that has produced immense results for Philly coach Brett Brown, who took an unfair amount of criticism back in the days when the Sixers were infamous for tanking. Those days now seem like ancient history, and the Sixers are looking to keep the momentum going during the second-half of the season.

Gaining momentum will be a challenge to the young Sixers, however, as they’ll begin the stretch run to the playoffs by playing eight of their next 10 games on the road, starting tonight against the improving Chicago Bulls (20-37).

Philly has some work to do outside of the friendly confines of South Philadelphia, where they hold a 12-15 record, which is actually respectable for such a young team just finding success.

Granted, going to the United Center these days is not intimidating. Chicago holds a 13-16 record at home,  but thanks to the play of Zach LaVine and the rise of Chicago’s own super-rookie, Lauri Markkanen, the Bulls have gone 2-2 on their current five-game homestand.

So Chicago won’t be such an easy team to beat as they once were, but it’s still hard to see the Sixers not coming away with a victory in the Windy City.

Trust the process.
