The ELEAGUE Tekken Team Takedown is coming as Turner and IMG’s ELEAGUE moves into the Tekken 7 arena. Get the details about the tournament here.

Turner and IMG’s ELEAGUE isn’t wasting any time getting into its next game. The brand announced Thursday that the ELEAGUE Tekken Team Takedown is coming in less than two weeks.

The ELEAGUE Tekken Team Takedown is a one-day Tekken 7 tournament with a very interesting setup that is one part team, one part individual competition.

A total of 20 Tekken 7 players will be assigned to four teams of five players each. Once two teams are set to compete, the players will square off in individual one on one battles. The objective will be to defeat all five members of the opposing team, and win the match.

ELEAGUE Tekken Team Takedown will be exclusively streamed on Twitch next Saturday, March 3 starting at 2:00 p.m. ET. There will be no TBS coverage of the tournament.

Instead, as was the case with the recent ELEAGUE Major Boston, TBS will show a documentary series after the tournament has concluded with footage and interviews. The miniseries starts on Friday, March 16 after TBS’s NCAA basketball coverage.

With a new game comes a new lineup of ELEAGUE talent. Host and master of ceremonies Richard Lewis will be reunited with analysts Steve “Tasty Steve” Scott, Reepal “Rip” Parbhoo, and Stephen “Sajam” Lyon, all of whom participated in the ELEAGUE Street Fighter V Invitational and ELEAGUE Injustice 2 World Championship last year.

Mark “Markman” Julio joins the crew to provide his Tekken 7 experience, while well-known gaming personality Michele Morrow is the new reporter.

Since 2016, ELEAGUE has hosted tournaments for eight games: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch, DOTA 2, Street Fighter V, Injustice 2, Formula E, Rocket League and now Tekken 7.
