Everything you need to know to watch the four-man bobsled teams compete in their first two of four runs at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

The grand finale of the 2018 Winter Olympics in the track sports if the four-man bobsled. It is the premier track and bobsled sport.

The United States is sending three four-man teams to Pyeongchang to compete.

  • Codie Bascue with Evan Weinstock, Steve Langton and Sam McGuffie
  • Nick Cunningham with Hakeem Abdul-Saboor, Chris Kinney and Sam Michener
  • Justin Olsen with Nathan Weber, Carlo Valdes and Chris Fogt

Bascue, Cunningham and Olsen are all piloting two-man teams as well. McGuffie, Abdul-Saboor and Weinstock are all competing in the two-man competition as push athletes. What is intriguing is Weinstock’s placement. He was Olsen’s pushman in the two-man competition but joins Bascue and McGuffie for the four-man. This could be an attempt to stack the team to make a run at the gold medal.

Like other track sports, including the two-man bobsled, the four-man bobsled will consist of four runs split over two days. The fastest cumulative time between all four runs will determine the gold medal winner.

The first run begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. The second run will begin at 8:40 p.m. ET.

The event can be watched live via a live stream, but it doesn’t appear that first portion be televised live. On the broadcast schedule for the day, NBC lists bobsled amongst the coverage beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET, which will also include speed skating, snowboarding and alpine skiing.
