Olympic curling is rolling along with the gold medal match of the men’s tourney on Saturday morning stateside between USA and Sweden.

It’s here too soon. The final match of men’s Olympic curling will take place on Saturday morning stateside and it offers quite the matchup: comeback kings USA take on the all-but-undefeated Sweden.

The semifinal matches took place on Thursday morning between the United States and Canada on one side and Sweden and Switzerland, the winner of the tie-breaker, on the other. Those four teams weren’t all that surprising, outside of the United States, who made the semifinals after winning three must-win games at the end of the round robin. And now they’re in the gold medal match.

Team USA hasn’t been known for winning curling medals, but the 2018 Winter Olympics were much more successful for the Americans. After Thursday morning’s semifinal matchup against Canada, they had a chance to contend for their first gold medal ever.

Curling has been one of the more popular sports in the 2018 Winter Games and it has to be growing in popularity, especially in the United States, because of the stellar play from the American team.

The men’s gold medal game will mark the end of curling in the Pyeongchang Olympics and it’ll be the last opportunity to catch some of the world’s best curling teams face off.

Cord-cutters will have the advantage as NBC will live stream the gold medal match live at 1:35 a.m. Saturday. When they show the game on TV — probably Saturday during the day — is still TBD.
