Here’s how you can watch the Men’s Parallel Giant Slalom Final at the 2018 Winter Olympics live online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.

The Men’s Parallel Giant Slalom Final will take place at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics on Friday, Feb. 23 at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT. You can catch the event’s live stream at NBCOlympics.com. Live television coverage will begin on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ending at 1 a.m. ET.

Favorites for the gold medal and podium spots include Russia’s (OAR’s) Vic Wild, Switzerland’s Nevin Galmarini, and Slovenia’s Žan Košir. The trio won gold, silver, and bronze respectively at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Wild won 2 gold medals back at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics including both Parallel Giant Slalom and Parallel Slalom. It was the first time a snowboarder won 2 medals at the same Winter Olympics.

Slovenia’s Žan Košir, most recently won a silver medal at 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships in Kreischberg, Austria. Last time around at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, Košir faced Germany’s Patrick Bussler for the bronze medal. Bussler, has previously won a bronze medal at the 2009 FIS Snowboarding World Championships in Gangwon, South Korea.

Team USA has two competitors in Men’s Parallel Giant Slalom this year, Mike Trapp and AJ Muss. Both snowboarders carry World Championship experience. It’s their first time competing at the Winter Olympics.

Olympic snowboarding’s Parallel Slalom event has been dropped at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in favor of Big Air’s Olympic debut. Parallel Giant Slalom can be described to new viewers as a snowboarding duel with two snowboarders competing directly rather than trying for a best time. The sport is fast-paced and its one-on-one competitive nature makes the race that much more personal.
