Barcelona have arguably been the best team in Europe this season. The Catalonia side are unbeaten in La Liga this season, seven points ahead of second place Atletico Madrid. On Saturday, Barcelona host Girona at the Camp Nou. Girona are eighth in La Liga, with 34 points in their first 24 games.

On Tuesday, Barcelona went to London and drew with Chelsea 1-1. Andrés Iniesta intercepted a pass and set up Lionel Messi for the lone Barcelona goal. The goal was Messi’s 28 goal in all competitions this season. Messi leads all La Liga players with 20 goals this season, while running mate Luis Saurez has scored 17 goals. With Philippe Coutinho ineligible to play for Barcelona in the Champions League, the Brazil international will likely play a bigger role in La Liga for the club as manager Ernesto Valverde attempts to rotate his squad.

Girona have played well in their last six games, losing only to Sevilla over that stretch. Pablo Machín’s side have picked up 11 points over their last six games to move from 13th to eighth in the table. Girona defeated Leganes 3-0 over the weekend, with Cristhian Stuani and Portu both scoring. Stuani leads the club with 13 goals this season, while Portu has scored nine times. The duo will be the focal point of any attack, should Girona be able to win the ball from possession dominant Barcelona.
