Liverpool jumped to third place in the Premier League and will look to stay that way against West Ham over the weekend. Jurgen Klopp’s side have been sizzling since a curious slip up against Swansea in late January, including a 5-0 pounding of Porto in the Champions League. Liverpool have yet to be beat at home this season, and took round one over West Ham away already by four goals to one. They’re defense remains a big question mark late in the season, but Liverpool have only given up three goals in the last five matches. Mohamed Salah remains just one goal behind Harry Kane in the race for top scorer at 22 so far.
West Ham have been much improved since David Moyes took over but still remain close to the relegation zone with most of the league. The Hammers are in the midst of a good run of form lately, only losing once in the past eight. They still are three points from the bottom three, and have a tough stretch of games coming up. Burnley, Manchester United and Chelsea feature in three of the next five for West Ham. Considering Liverpool’s home form all season, this may not be a great start for them trying to avoid relegation.
