Here’s how you can watch the Women’s 30 km Mass Start Classic at the 2018 Winter Olympics live online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.
The Women’s 30 km Mass Start Classic will take place at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 1:15 a.m. ET / 10:15 p.m. PT. You can catch the event’s live stream at NBCOlympics.com. Live coverage will begin on television on NBCSN at 2:00 a.m. ET.
Team USA’s Jessica Diggins will be competing at the event and one of the favorites to win gold. Diggins, won a gold medal in the Women’s Team Sprint Freestyle with teammate Kikkan Randall in Pyeongchang, the first ever USA gold medal in cross-country skiing. Team USA won a silver medal in cross-country skiing back in 1976, making this recent win, its second medal overall. Diggins, previously won a gold medal with teammate Kikkan Randall at the 2013 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme, Italy.
Strong competition will come from Norway’s Marit Bjørgen, a 5-time Olympian who just won 4 medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She owns an impressive 14 medals overall. Bjørgen has medaled in every event she competed at Pyeongchang until now. There’s a strong chance she’ll see the podium again.
Team USA has two more competitors at the Women’s 30 km Mass Start Classic, Rosie Frankowski and Sadie Bjornsen.
Diggins has been chosen as Team USA’s flag bearer for the 2018 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony. She expressed excitement on the monumental honor in a Team USA.com interview:
